Broc Parkes and YART to race season finale at Jerez

After the disappointing finale of the World Endurance Championship at Le Mans, Yamaha Austria Team boss Mandy Kainz is already facing new tasks. With the world title seemingly secured, Team Monster Energy Yamaha Austria was forced to retire at halftime in the legendary long distance race of Le Mans with engine failure. Just one day after this disappointment team manager Mandy Kainz is already turning the page and looking forward.

"We plan to enter the Australian Broc Parkes as wildcard in the eni FIM Superbike World Championship round at Jerez", said Mandy Kainz.

The bikes, that were just recently in use at Le Mans, are now at headquarters in the south of Graz for the adjustments needed to take on the Spanish Round on 20th of October. "Our expectations are not particularly high. We do not know the track in Jerez and have no experience with the Pirelli tires. A place in the top 10 would be great in these circumstances" he added.

For the Monster Energy Yamaha Austria Racing Team this race could be a trial run for the coming year as well. "Yes, we are seriously thinking about competing in the eni FIM Superbike World Championship , but only at a few selected events. The whole thing is a matter of budget of course. A full season is not an option at the moment."
